Calgary Local Food Hub

Thrive Calgary

Intelligent Futures was asked to design and lead a discussion on developing a local food hub in Calgary. Dozens of participants – local producers, governmental representatives, business and community leaders – joined the conversation.  Despite a malfunctioning HVAC system (the average temperature for the 4-hour workshop was 10 degrees celsius), participants contributed their knowledge and ideas to a robust conversation about what they think a Food Hub should be and how it might be achieved. A summary report was created to both capture the current views of the local community and recommendations for how to develop a local food hub for Calgary.
