The Town recognized the need for a comprehensive and progressive roadmap to navigate rapid change sustainably, and they turned to Intelligent Futures to collaboratively develop a comprehensive 5-year strategic plan. Every great journey begins with understanding the terrain. To begin the planning process, Intelligent Futures assessed the implementation of the previous strategic plan, paired with a review of important data, policies, and plans to provide a better understanding of the Town’s current state. Through a robust community engagement process with diverse interest holders, a holistic understanding of the challenges and opportunities in Paradise was developed. Building on these learnings, Intelligent Futures brought together Council and Staff for a multi-day Strategy Sprint to build the fundamental components of the plan, including vision, pillars and goals; pillar-related strategies; and 18 key actions for implementation. Developed in a highly collaborative environment, the final strategic plan is a visionary roadmap that captures the Town’s long-term priorities and sets the overall direction for the Town to continue to navigate a new era of growth and change. With the plan in place, the Town is now on their way to meeting the needs of present and future residents, supporting continued growth and keeping Paradise a community of choice for all residents and businesses.
